In the current (January) lockdown, our Remote Learning offer has been significantly strengthened. Every child, whether at home or in school under Critical Worker provision, is benefitting from live streamed lessons from their class teacher via Microsoft Teams. These lessons are streamed every day throughout the day. Supporting work for these lessons is provided via Class Dojo.
We hope this provides you with a clear approach and the highest levels of support and contact for your child that we can achieve.
We fully appreciate how challenging this is going to be for all families. We are all in this together and we must be realistic. Family comes first for everyone, including staff.
With the best will in the world:
We still cannot provide a school away from school. Nor do we expect you to as parents/carers. However, we believe the live streamed approach to be the best compromise available.
Why should we try to keep up a daily routine at home?
Keeping a daily routine, maintaining some form of exercise, and making time for reading all have significant benefits to mental health and well-being. We would encourage you to set up a daily schedule, and where possible to stick to it.
Daily timetables will be shared by the class teachers via Class Dojo.
If parents are struggling to get online because of lack of devices they are asked to contact the school as a matter of urgency as devices can be loaned.
Class teachers will give clear direction about what and how and where to upload work.
You can expect to receive feedback on your work as it is shared with your teacher.
You can get in touch with your teacher via Class Dojo or email.
